Walkthrough

1 – STATUE OF MYTHANTHOR

With the help of the Ring of Calling you’ve made it up to the Speculum Grounds. A cut scene will introduce you to the Fabled City Heights and the Speculum. You can travel back to the Halls of Light by touching on the Statue of Mythanthor.

2 – ENTRANCE TO THE HALL OF WIZARDS

A large number of Orcs await you here just in front of a huge door that leads to the interior of the Hall of Wizards. Defeat them to clear the path to the Hall. They also drop a Chainmail +3 and some healing potions and salves. Check back here often and talk to Caalenfaire for some info about your quest.

3 – GATE OF ANTARN

The gate of Antarn is located here. It is magically locked and you cannot open it for now.

After you have freed the Bealnorn, Miroden Silverblade, go and talk to Annorrweyn Eversong at the Nightingale Court and she will tattoo your body so that can pass through this gate and reach the Altar of the Mythal at area #17.

4 – PATH TO WINDRIDER GLADE

Follow this northern path to travel to the Windrider Glade.

5 – GATE TO SULLYMARSH

The gate here will get to the Sullymarsh where you will meet with the Ormyrr King.

6 – ARRACCATS & MAGIC WEAPONS

Three arraccats guard the chest here. Defeat them and loot the chest for a Dagger +2 and some more healing potions.

7 – STAIRS TO THE ORRERY

A band of Orcs guard the stairs that lead up to the Orrery.

8 – MOHRG

A mohrg here is having a lunch on a lizardfolk body. Kill it and you will be the owner of the Bow of Accuracy.

9 – ORRERY

The Orrery is located here. You can see some strange glowing orbs floating over a circular pedestal. The orbs are the Orrery Planets and are the magic behind the Spinning Spires. The only problem is that 5 planets are missing. Until you find and restore all of the missing planets you cannot use the spinning spires to teleport around the city. The Orrery Planets are located to the following places:

  • Sullymarch: Freed from the Wooden Pole.
  • Nightingale Court: Released from the Lizardfolk Totem.
  • House of Gems: Harldain Ironbar will release the Orrery Planet from the blue orb you found at the beginning of the game in Stillwater.
  • Windrider Glade: Taken from the Gargoyle Tasklord after you have the stone mouth.
  • Catacombs (First Cellar): Found in a cage at Naga’s Lair.

When you find all of them you will be able to use the Spinning Spires to travel to several locations of the Myth Drannor.

10 – BLUEGLOW MOSS

Many Blueglow Mosses are scattered around Myth Drannor, one of them is located here. The Mosses have some healing properties and can heal your party. You will also have to face another band of Orcs here.

11 – ORCS

This area is surrounded by several Orcs led by an Orc Captain. Be cautious not to be flanked and put them to rest.

12 – GARGOYLES

Your first encounter against the Gargoyles takes place here. Five of them lurk around this place waiting for their foes. If you still have Leraja’s Spear use it against them to make things easier.

13 – CIRCLE OF UALAIR

In the middle of this area is located the Circle of Ualair the Silent. This is the only way to reach to the Catacombs the first time, but you will need the complete Wizard Torc to do so. Harldain Ironbar can fix the Wizard Torc after you destroy the Spawn Pool up to the House of Gems. When you have the Wizard Torc nearing this area will open a portal that takes you down to the First Cellar of the Catacombs.

14 – PASSAGE TO THE CATACOMBS

This door cannot be opened from this side. You have to reach the catacombs from the portal in area #13 and open it from the inside. When you do you can then use this path to also travel down to the First Cellar of Catacombs. There are also some Gargoyles and Margoyles to fight here.

15 – PASSAGE TO NIGHTINGALE COURT

Follow the stair-like path to get to Nightingale Court. You will have to fight some Margoyles on the way.

16 – DRAGON-KIN CAPTAINS

When you pass through Antarn’s Gate at area #3 you will immediately be attacked by four Dragon-Kin Captains. Defeat them to clear the path and take a dagger +5 and the Amulet of Rolling Smoke for your efforts.

17 – ALTAR OF THE MYTHAL

At the top of the Hall of Wizards lays the Altar of Mythal. Here is the place you need to place the Gem of the Weave in order to restore the Mythal, but since Miroden told you that he has destroyed the gem you will have to find another one.

Go pay a visit to Ironbar at the House of Gems and he will tell you what you need to do to get a new Gem of the Weave. Return here with the Emerald of the Weave and place it onto the altar. After the cut-scene, showing Eversong attending the Mythal, you will come to a big surprise. Eversong will take you to the secret lair of the Miroden down to the Prisons of the Catacombs so that you can talk to him. You will then be informed that Miroden didn’t not really destroyed the gem as he told you but in fact gave it to Kya Mordrayn after falling victim of her lies. Now you have to find the old gem (Sapphire of the Weave) and destroy it. Miroden will teach you the Word of Redemption you need to destroy the Gem and open a portal that takes you down to the castle passage thus opened the way to Castle Cormanthor.
