American Angst Review Header

American Angst Text-based Adventure Game Review

American Angst is a text adventure following in the footsteps of the likes of Zork, albeit with clicking instead of typing. The game's horror elements, simple yet tense combat, and assorted strange happenings will keep you engaged as you navigate your way through a branching story inside a mysterious hostile facility.

OCMO Platformer Review Header 1

OCMO iOS Review

OCMO attempts to bring the precision platforming of something like Super Meat Boy to the iOS. As you might expect, challenging platforming is really hard to pull off when all you have for controls is a screen you can tap. As a result, OCMO ends up being way more frustrating than it would've been on a more suitable system. The game's high baseline level of difficulty doesn't help ease the frustration either.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords Review Header

Starpoint Gemini Warlords Review

Both a space combat sim and 4x strategy game, Starpoint Gemini Warlords combines the two genres into a neat package while simplifying them both somewhat to make the combination possible. The game's story campaign is bland and feels more like an extended tutorial, and the sandboxy Conquest mode is where it actually gets to shine. We just wish there was an option to play it with other people in multiplayer.

Road Rage 1

Road Rage PS4 Review

As you might've guessed from its title, Road Rage is a spiritual successor to the Road Rash series of arcade motorbike racers made more exciting by their melee combat system. Featuring plenty of bikes, weapons, and drivers to unlock, as well as a great number of upgrades and an open-world to ride around, Road Rage will always have something for you to do. Its only real shortcomings are assorted graphical glitches and a wonky collision system.

Coffee Shop Tycoon Early Access Review

A light and breezy management game currently in Early Access, Coffee Shop Tycoon will have you playing as a coffee connoisseur with the big dream of creating a proper coffee empire. You'll need to manage your staff, raise your reputation, open up new locations, and more. In short, there's always something that needs your attention here, and so you won't be doing a lot of pointless waiting. The overall package is an absolute joy to play, and we only wish the full release would come sooner.

Batman Arkham Knight Gotham City 1

Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 Review

A great game for any fan of the caped crusader out there, Batman: Arkham Knight features a solid storyline, tight action that's the signature of this series, numerous side missions, and the New Story Plus mode that will keep you coming back for more. The nifty Dual Play feature will give you a capable A.I. sidekick for certain parts of the game, making things that much more exciting.

dark and light review featured image

Dark and Light PC Steam Review

A fantasy sandbox survival game that focuses on magic and wildlife taming, Dark and Light has its fair share of problems. Namely numerous bugs, wonky hit detection, long loading screens, and a lack of explanation for some of its more arcane mechanics. But if you can overlook those, the game's beautiful visuals and addictive gameplay will let you lose yourself in its magical world.

Call of Duty WWII Campaign 4

Call of Duty: WWII PS4 Review

Call of Duty: WWII attempts to reinvent the long-running franchise by going back to its roots. As a result, its story campaign feels both authentic and well-made, and the zombie mode fits in well with the throwback setting. And when it comes to multiplayer, there's both split-screen and online with multiple game modes, but not a lot of maps to choose from and some game modes missing from the roster.

Team Z Review Header Image

Team Z: League of Heroes Mobile Review

A mobile team battle game, Team Z: League of Heroes will have you grinding out numerous PvE battles in order to build a strong team of superheroes you can then take online and play against other people. As a freemium game, it pushes you towards purchasing some of its premium currency bundles, but for a game of this kind, the grind-to-pricing ratio seems reasonable. The hero color system also adds some tactical considerations often absent from games like this, even if it doesn't really work with the auto battle feature.

Conarium Lovecraftian Horror Review Header

Conarium Lovecraftian PC Steam Review

Positioned as a horror game, Conarium is really more of an adventure game packed with Lovecraftian lore and oozing a creepy atmosphere. While its gameplay is fairly simplistic, it does its job of encouraging exploration, which is the game's main selling point considering its strong environmental storytelling.
