A solid title, Spellspire is slightly better than the average mobile game fare, but that isn't saying much. It is addictive for the first 100 levels, though you'll likely find yourself looking for something else to do by the time you start the endless mode.

A crypto-dirven experience, Spells of Genesis does function as a card game. Unfortunately, it also functions as a front for "NFT-based" shenanigans, makings for a weak title full of monetization.

Table Top Racing: World Tour is a fine game. Essentially a kart racer (in the same vein as Mario Kart), Table Top Racing doesn't really bring anything new to the table, and is markedly more sluggish than other similar racers. There is something to like here, but all of that can also be found elsewhere.

Taking the "cute thing gets gory" to a logical extreme, Nongünz is an action-platformer where vengeance is on the brain. Mostly notably for its dark aesthetic and minimal color palette, Nongünz doesn't really ever do much with its many ideas, resulting in them becoming stale quicker than you might expect.

Not quite living up to the mainline 2K series that it is a spinoff of, 3on3 FreeStyle is still a fun time-waster of a game, though it is obviously stitched together from ideas that didn't make it into the core series. Some of those ideas work, and others fall flat, but the game might be worthwhile just for a more arcadey basketball game.

Prey (2017) shows everyone just how one should update a classic for the modern day. With slick graphics, one of the best environments in gaming, and a meaningful (if imperfect) story, Prey would stick the landing, if it weren't for a slightly slow pace and some scattershot design. Regardless, though, Prey is still a game worth playing.

An improvement from WRC 5, WRC 6 is a world-class rally car racing game that all lovers of the genre should take note of. With some of the most realistic weather and track conditions around, WRC is a blast to play, and lets you get really into the nitty-gritty of rally car racing.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue collects many of the previous games in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, in order to catch players up before Kingdom Hearts 3. And, like many products that are made to promote other products, it is weaker than it could be, simply because of middling remaster quality that feels somewhat rushed. Still, since it is a collection of good games, it's hard to call it bad.

A clever and enjoyable JRPG, Cosmic Star Heroine is a great game that both takes what makes the genre work, and improves it in many ways with good characters, great art, and some mechanics that help keep the game fresh and interesting.

Minecraft: Story Mode turns what seems like a crazy premise -- turning the notoriously open-ended, storyless Minecraft into a rich, story-filled interactive drama -- and makes it work. Factoring in both everything that makes Minecraft work and all of Telltale's storytelling ability, it turns out, builds something pretty amazing.
