Killing Floor 2 is more of the same: a simple, relatively shallow experience where you and a group of other players survive as long as you can against zombies. Killing Floor 2 feels great while doing that, but the experience ultimately ends up feeling fairly vapid.

A visual experience, Three Fourths Home is a more of a touching tale than a true video game. That said, it is an effective and moving tale, and the small interactive elements add more than you might expect. All while being totally absorbed in the atmosphere.

Far from perfect, Snake Pass is such a unique experience that it is well worth experiencing. Borrowing from design principles established by the Collect-a-Thon genre, those mechanics take a new shape as you navigate them as a snake. Despite some hiccups, it is remarkable how fun it feels to do this.

An immensely satisfying rougelike, NeuroVoider is among the best in the genre. The gameplay is fast-paced and hectic, but still allows you to be incredibly precise as you explore endless, interesting locations, acquiring better and better loot each time.

A great competitive sport-em-up, Disc Jam does one thing, and it does it very well. With snappy gameplay, Disc Jam is satisfying and challenging, and you can quickly find yourself losing hours to it.

Final Fantasy XV: Episode Gladiolus is fine, but it doesn't do enough to add meaningfully to the story or gameplay of Final Fantasy XV. While the DLC is absolutely gorgeous, and its story is serviceable, the DLC is ultimately skippable.

Mantis Burn Racing is a fantastic top-down racing game. With plentiful content and customization, there is always more to do. The controls are tight, and the game looks, feels, and sounds great to play. All around, a great showing in an under-represented genre.

As wonderful as any of the LEGO games, the LEGO Harry Potter Collection is exactly what fans of LEGO or Harry Potter could ask for. While not reinventing the wheel, the blending of the two properties is as perfect a pairing as LEGO and Star Wars, and the mechanics use the inherent magic of Harry Potter well.

Not rising to the level of its predecessors, Mass Effect: Andromeda is just an average game. While it is dismissive to call it a bad game, comparisons to the original series do it no favors, as its story completely lacks the weight, impact, or even presentation of those games.

Better than a pre-order bonus has any right to be, A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XI is a beautifully-rendered pixel-art rendition of an unseen part of Final Fantasy XV's story. While its simplicity holds it back slightly, it's still well-worth the pre-order.
