Shoot the Dragons Quick Review

Shoot the Dragons knows what it is: a simple game with a simple premise: you scroll to the side of a screen, and shoot dragons. And, within that, Weedo Games executes it well. This will not be the most notable game you ever play, but it does what it does well enough.

NieR: Automata Review

An absolute masterpiece, everything about NieR: Automata is perfect. Acting as both a continuation and an entrypoint for newcomers, the story and presentation in this game is top-notch, perfectly matching its incredible gameplay. The only slight flaw is lack of enemy variety; in every other way, this is a must-play game. Probably one of the best games not only this year, but possibly of all time.

KH2.8 Birth by Sleep 0.2

Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth By Sleep Review

The newest entry in the somewhat-convoluted series, Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth By Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage might remain somewhat confusing, but is otherwise an interesting game. It tells a new story with a new perspective, and the gameplay is tight as ever, to say nothing of the graphics and sound. One of the better entries in the series.

Bendy and the Ink Machine – Mini Review

The first chapter of Bendy and the Ink Machine shows huge promise. The fresh art style and cartoon-themed aesthetic goes a long way toward making this game both tense and enjoyable. We will see what becomes of it, but Bendy and the Ink Machine starts off strong.

Linelight Review

Simple and effective, Linelight is a calm, puzzling experience that is well worthwhile for anyone wanting to sit back and think for a while, while still being beautiful and engaging enough to keep most players engaged. Well worth the awards, the minimalistic game is worth checking out.

Knack Review

Knack is all style and no substance. An absolutely gorgeous game, Knack is nowhere near as rich as its graphics, with a very uninteresting, underutilized story, boring gameplay, and essentially no reason to replay it after the first time (if you even play it the first time).

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Review

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is a great game, though perhaps overhyped due to Resident Evil's new perspective shift. Tense, terrifying, and with a pretty good story, fans of the series will still find themselves plenty familiar with what's on offer.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate Review

One of Assassin's Creed's worst showing, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate has dull characters, essentially no plot, by-the-numbers gameplay, and uninteresting technical aspects. Having two protagonists seems to have halved the appeal of Assassin's Creed.

Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition Review

Divinity: Original Sin was already one of the best cRPGs around. Then Larian Studios went and remastered it for the Enchanced Edition. What you're left with is a fantastic story, brilliant gameplay, astounding art direction, and a generally near-perfect title. What few issues do crop up are things like inventory management and some odd controls, but those are easily overlooked.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Review

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection bundles all three of the Assassin's Creed games featuring Ezio. The high-point of the series, these three games are all incredible, though there is some weakness in storytelling when you play each game back-to-back.
