Planet Explorers Steam Preview

Planet Explorers is a sandbox survival game where you crash land on a planet and have to collect, build, defend, and survive, eventually taking on aliens who don't want you around. The gameplay elements look promising at this point, making Planet Explorers a game to watch.

Empyrion – Galactic Survival Early Access Review

In Empyrion - Galactic Survival, you crash land on a planet and have to survive, but that's just the start. With enough resources, crafting and research, you can eventually build spacecraft, take on alien races, and explore the galaxy. The Early Access version of the game looks promising.

Robinson: The Journey – Explore a Prehistoric new Earth

Robinson: The Journey tasks you with helping young Robin explore an alien world along with his companions HIGS and Laika. The sense of immersion in the game is excellent, and the puzzles are rewarding to complete, but the controls aren't always great, and the storyline is presented poorly. And, as always with a VR game, there are nausea issues.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Review – The game fans deserve

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is an arena fighting game where you travel back in time to protect the past -- and recreate some of the most iconic moments of Dragon Ball Z. The game looks and sounds good, and it provides hundreds of hours of content, but familiarity with Dragon Ball Z is required for full enjoyment.

Megalo Polis Review

Megalo Polis lets you run a presidential campaign, but it's not a complex simulation. It's a colorful, lighthearted action game where you sway voters to your side, and play dirty tricks on your opponents. It's fun for a while but not deep enough to keep you coming back for more.

RimWorld Early Access Review Header

RimWorld Steam Early Access Review

RimWorld is a colony sim where you start out with three colonists stranded on an alien planet, and help them to build, research and expand until they can build a spaceship and return home. The graphics and sound are serviceable, but there's enough randomness and replayability to keep you coming back for more.

Fire Emblem Fates 3DS Review

Fire Emblem Fates has three campaigns depending on the version of the game you buy -- Birthright, Conquest, or Revelation -- allowing you to choose your path between rival kingdoms. Fates doesn't do much that hasn't been seen in earlier games in the franchise, but it handles its familiar territory well.

Dark Souls III Ashes of Ariandel

Dark Souls III + Ashes of Ariandel DLC Review

More of a victory lap for the Dark Souls series than an attempt at any sort of innovation, Dark Souls III is excellent in its competence, but doesn't stray too far from the established formula. The game's Ashes of Ariandel DLC then offers some fresh PvP content, but its PvE offerings can be needlessly frustrating even for a Souls veteran.
