Whatever individuality you can express in Age of Conan quickly passes by the time you get to the starter city. Poor gameplay and overall poor design bring down an otherwise interesting setting, great graphics, and some major improvements that have come to the game over time.

Even when not considering the substantial amounts of blood and carnage that adds another level to this gem, Prototype is still a great game with an interesting world, fantastic gameplay, and a story that is better than you'd expect.

Better than the average mobile-gaming fair, Words With Friends is still only good in light of its competition. Still, it's hard to deny that it is good fun, and easy to pick up and play whenever you feel like it. It being lightly educational is a little cherry on top.

A real contender in the crowded space of MMOs, Runes of Magic might not do much to distinguish itself from World of Warcraft, but it has all the same stuff it's got. If you put in the initial commitment, you'll be rewarded.

A standalone expansion for Mount & Blade, With Fire & Sword introduces some neat new features, like early firearms and faction storylines, that unfortunately don't gel too well with the core of the game.

Rift isn't the WoW beater that it wants to be, but, over the course of its free trial, it does have some addictive qualities. Despite those, though, it fails to really live up to the game that obviously inspired it, much less exceed it.
