General Info

The Lighthouse is the most peaceful primitive monument on the map, sitting charmingly just off the coast. With a Green Card and some decent early loot, it makes for a great place to start your Rust journey.

Strategy and Meta

The Lighthouse is a great place to get a lot of what you need, early in Rust. Because of this, you may have to deal with other players when you arrive to control it, though they will most likely have only low-tier equipment. Even so, there are some things you can do to make sure you come out on top.

The most important thing to remember about the Lighthouse is that it is a vertical monument, meaning that height will play an even larger role than it typically does. In addition, there is only one way up or down it, and only one way to enter or exit. This means that camping at the top and waiting for your enemy to push, or camping at the entrance and waiting for the enemy to eventually leave will be the best idea.

If you find that you need to assault the Lighthouse, the only available flank is to use the parkour route up. To do so, jump up the stairs on the inside of the lighthouse, then cautiously jump onto the ring just above the lights. Climb around, being careful not to fall off, and jump back onto the stairs. This gives you a flank for the Recycler Jump, which can net you some easy kills and control over the monument.

For larger, more capable groups, you can also wall in the Lighthouse and use it as a base, giving you access to a Recycler and unlimited Crates.
