Skyrim to be More Like Morrowind

MorrowindEurogamer interviewed Todd Howard and asked some pretty interesting questions, mainly one that deals with the feel of the game. Many of us compare Morrowind to Oblivion, some say Morrowind is better while others say the crown goes to Oblivion. Which is really better? Who knows but Todd Howard explains why the different opinions have occurred:

“With Oblivion, we’re dealing with the capital province, and we wanted to get back to the more classic Arena and Daggerfall feel of a fantasy world that felt more refined and welcoming, a place that you instantly understood.

Todd continues with:

“But in that,” he added, “we sacrificed some of what made Morrowind special: the wonder of discovery. With Skyrim, we’re trying to bring some of that back and walk the line between Morrowind and Oblivion. Where it’s at first familiar looking, but has its own unique culture and spin on it.”

This is great news for those of us that loved the feel of Morrowind. The unique cultures and backgrounds of each character. Skyrim seems to be shaping up into something really special.
