This guide covers a quest in Hommlet for Temple of Elemental Evil. This guide has the main map for the Village of Hommlet, but also gives players a map for the quest. It is complete with a legend, and also a walkthrough of each point on the legend.

4) Furnok, Thief for Hire

7) Ostler Gundigoot, Innkeeper

Speak with Ostler (#7) the Innkeeper and ask for a room. Pay the two gold and instead of accepting, he’ll ask if you’re interested in getting your room for free. He’ll mention that Furnok (#4) has been cheating at games of chance. If you can nail Furnok at his own game, and prevent him from gambling here, you’ll get unlimited free rooms here at the Wench.

Talk to Furnok (#4) with the party member with the highest Spot skill. Play the various games of chance (it doesn’t matter), and sooner or later you’ll notice he’s been cheating. Accuse him of it, and ask him to stop gambling here. Now head back to Ostler for your reward and some xp.
