Act III Introduction / Iorveth’s Side – Witcher 2 Overview

This page is an introduction outlining the third act for Iorveth’s side in Witcher 2. It gives readers an understanding of the act openers, main quests, side quests, how it ends. It will also give a rough idea of how to proceed through the act.

Welcome to Act III on Iorveth’s path! In this rather short act, you’ll witness the peace conference which turns out not to be so peaceful after all. As always, after a few great moral dilemmas, you’ll finally get to meet the kingslayer. All the questions you’ve probably had so far will be nearly answered.

In the very beginning of the act, you’ll start out with Iorveth in the wilderness near Loc Muinne. The elven city’s not far and you’ll reach it in no time. You’ll notice that all the countries have taken up a quarter in the city as a temporary home, even the infamous Knights of the Flaming Rose. Further steps are described in the quest For a Higher Cause!.

As in every chapter, you’re free to do quests as you like, but if you don’t want to accidentally skip anything, here’s a recommended list:

Act openers:
For a Higher Cause!
Where is Triss Merigold? or The Spellbreaker

Side quests:
A Score to Settle
Bring It On: Loc Muinne
Poker Face: Loc Muinne
Mystic River
The Gargoyle Contract
An Encrypted Manuscript
From a Bygone Era

Main Quests:
A Summit of Mages
Enter the Dragon

In the end, a small epilogue awaits which gives answer to a few questions and poses new ones.

Have fun questing!
