Poker Face: Flotsam – Witcher 2 Quest

This guide helps players with a specific side quest of chapter 1 in The Witcher 2. It has a map, legend, and walkthrough to show you exactly how to complete the quest.

Background

Arm wrestling and fistfights aren’t the only gambling sources in Flotsam. There’s also notorious poker dice, for anyone wishing to try their luck.

Walkthrough

Your first opponents for this quest will be either Casimir or Bendeck. They can be found inside the tavern (#1), rolling dice on the table right next to the fist fighters on the lower level. After defeating either of them, challenge the other one and win. Now you can play Zindrab, who considers himself a “master”. After beating him, he’ll send you over to Einar.

Next step in completing the quest is winning Einer Gausel (#2), the dwarven bookseller. Once you beat him he’ll tell you that he won’t play you anymore, and that you should try Sendler (#3), who’s the best at the dice in the area.

Now, winning Sendler nets you some interesting rewards, if you refuse the coin. You can either take one of the three different trap diagrams (Diagram: Conflagration , Diagram: Clawer or Diagram: Talgar Winter). If you’re on a phase where you’re helping the troll during the side quest Troll Trouble, you can also ask for the female troll’s head instead of the trap designs. Defeating Sendler marks the end of this quest, and since it’s a poker quest, you get no experience.
