A Walk on the Waterfront – Witcher 3 Quest

This guide is a walkthrough of a side quest in the Witcher 3 for the area of Novigrad. The guide is composed of a map, map legend, and walkthrough to show readers exactly where to go and what to do to complete the quest.

Background

In the western part of Novigrad (#1), you’ll witness Ginter de Lavirac being robbed by bandits. If you intervene and kill the bandits, then de Lavirac will give you this quest.

Walkthrough

De Lavirac will hire you to accompany him as he takes a stroll along the waterfront. Of course, you’ll have to do more than walk. Twice during the trek you’ll get attacked by level 10 bandits (#2). They’ll attack you and de Lavirac both, so you’ll need to dispatch them quickly before they can kill your charge. De Lavirac won’t walk very far ahead of you, so you can take the time to loot the bandits before continuing.

At the end of the walk (#3), de Lavirac will meet some shady fellows, and you’ll discover that he’s a Fisstech dealer. If you play along and help him, then he’ll make his deal and pay you what he owes. If don’t help him, then he’ll probably come to a bad end, but the shady fellows will pay you instead. Either way, you’ll earn 10 crowns and 50 xp.
