This guide is a walkthrough of a side quest in the Witcher 3 for the area of Novigrad. The guide is composed of a map, map legend, and walkthrough to show readers exactly where to go and what to do to complete the quest.

1 – Chest

Background

On a “Hidden Treasure” island off the west coast of the Novigrad Outskirts, you’ll encounter several drowners and mucknixers guarding a chest (#1). Inside the chest you’ll find a letter. Reading the letter will trigger this quest.

Walkthrough

The letter will indicate that there are lots of goods nearby. You’ll find the goods in treasure chests — two underwater to the west and two on the island to the southwest. All of the chests will have random contents. To complete the quest, you’ll just need to loot the four chests.
