Duck, Duck, Goosed! – Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Quest

Background

You’ll trigger this quest by reading the note “Contract: Loosey This Goosy!” from the notice board in the snowy village in the Land of a Thousand Fables, which you’ll visit during the quest Beyond Hill and Dale (#1).

Walkthrough

The note will indicate that somebody is stalking Balbina the Goose (aka the Goose that Lays Golden Eggs). When you head over to Balbina’s house (#2), you won’t find anybody there, so you’ll need to turn on your witcher senses and look around. You’ll spot a trail of goose feathers leading south.

Following the goose feathers will take you to a camp (#3), where you’ll discover a trio of level 47 bandits led by Redbeard. After defeating the bandits, you’ll find a Cage Key on Redbeard’s corpse, which will allow you to free Balbina from her cage. Balbina will then thank you by laying a Golden Egg, and you’ll also earn 250 xp.
