1 – Cave

Background

Outside a cave in Toussaint North (#1), you’ll meet a wine merchant. He’ll tell you that he’d like to use the cave as a storehouse, but that a “foulness” has taken up residence inside. If you agree to help him, then you’ll trigger the quest.

Walkthrough

Inside the cave, you’ll encounter a trio of level 43 giant centipedes. If you quaff a Superior Golden Oriole potion before facing them, then the battles should be straightforward. After defeating the centipedes, when you return to the wine merchant, he’ll pay you your negotiated fee, and you’ll also earn 100 xp.

Note: If you return to the cave two days later, then you’ll find the wine merchant inside, where he’ll for some reason have become an alchemy merchant.
