This guide is a walkthrough of a side quest in the Witcher 3 on the Skellige Isles. The guide is composed of a map, map legend, and walkthrough to show readers exactly where to go and what to do to complete the quest.

1 – Hidden Treasure / Skeleton / Treasure Ship

Background

On a rocky island chain in The Skellige Isles Southeast, you’ll find a skeleton holding some Notes About Treasure (#1). Reading the notes will trigger the quest.

Walkthrough

The notes will mention that a “great treasure ship” was sunk nearby. You’ll find it just to the east. When you swim down to the ship, you’ll discover that there is a treasure chest right next to it. Inside the chest you’ll find a leveled version of the silver sword Gynvael Aedd. Looting the chest will complete the quest.
