Ruins, Hidden Treasure, You Know… – Witcher 3 Quest

This guide is a walkthrough of a side quest in the Witcher 3 on the Skellige Isles. The guide is composed of a map, map legend, and walkthrough to show readers exactly where to go and what to do to complete the quest.

Background

In the Dorve Ruins on Undvik in The Skellige Isles Southwest, you’ll discover a skeleton just to the east of a fast travel marker (#1). On it you’ll find a Mysterious Map and an Old Key. Examining the map will trigger the quest.

Walkthrough

The map will show an X on a tower north of the ruins. However, if you compare the Mysterious Map to the world map, you’ll see that the Mysterious Map is rotated, and that the top of it is actually pointing east instead of north. So you’ll find the tower to the east.

On your way to the tower (#2), you’ll probably have to deal with some level 13 devourers and sirens, and maybe even a level 7 wraith. Then when you reach the tower, you’ll find a locked treasure chest on the first level up. It’ll have some random items inside. Looting the chest will complete the quest.
