1 – Trastamara Hunting Cottage
2 – Pheasantry
3 – Danamebi Temple Ruins

Background

You’ll trigger this quest by picking up the Spoon Key from the Trastamara Hunting Cottage in Toussaint South (#1). You’ll find the key in the southeastern corner of the main floor.

Walkthrough

When you pick up the key, you’ll discover a Spoon-Key Note attached to it. The note will claim that the key belongs to Smigole Serkis, the previous owner of the Pheasantry in Beauclair. When you head over to the Pheasantry (#2) and talk to the innkeep, she’ll inform you that Serkis left a lot of “knick-knacks” in the cellar, and that you’re welcome to take a look.

You’ll find the staircase leading down to the cellar just behind the bar with the innkeep. When you go there, you’ll find a few random containers to loot, plus a cabinet containing Smigole Louis Serkis’ Cookbook. When you read the cookbook, the last entry will reveal that the Spoon Key unlocks a treasure chamber inside an ancient temple, where the amassed wealth of grandmaster chef Ra’mses Gor-Thon can be found.

You’ll locate the site of the treasure, the Danamebi Temple Ruins, far to the north (#3). The Spoon Key will get you through the door. Inside, you’ll find lots of alcohol and ingredients, plus a chest containing Crayfish Boil Recipe, Honey Spice Cake Recipe, and Recipe for “Etoile Blanche” Pasta. These are real recipes rather than game recipes. Collecting them will complete the quest. But beware! When you exit the ruins you’ll get attacked by a level 44 beann’shie.
