1 – Corvo Bianco
2 – Trastamara Hunting Cottage

Background

To receive this quest, you’ll need to cure Marlene (aka the spotted wight) during the quest La Cage au Fou. This will cause you to bring Marlene to Corvo Bianco (#1), where she’ll begin eating ravenously. The quest will then trigger automatically once enough time has passed (about two days), or once you’ve triggered / completed / updated enough quests.

Walkthrough

When you talk to Marlene, she’ll thank you for your hospitality, and she’ll ponder where she should go next. You’ll have two ways to respond:

  • You can tell Marlene to go to town where she might meet somebody new.
  • You can invite Marlene to stay at Corvo Bianco. Marlene will offer to work in your kitchen as a cook, and she’ll tell you where you can find her unused dowry — in the deepest part of the basement at the Trastamara Hunting Cottage (#2). When you reach the cottage’s basement, you’ll find ten barrels that you can interact with. Just knock on each one until you find the dowry — a Gold Stick of Joy (a decoration you can display at Corvo Bianco) and around 400 crowns.

Note: Allowing Marlene to stay at Corvo Bianco will earn you the Compassion virtue for the quest There Can Be Only One.
