Tough Luck – Witcher 3 Quest

This guide is a walkthrough of a side quest in the Witcher 3 for the area of Velen. The guide is composed of a map, map legend, and walkthrough to show readers exactly where to go and what to do to complete the quest.

1 – Ruined Cart

Background

On a road in Velen North you’ll discovered a ruined cart being guarded by a couple of foglets (#1). After defeating the foglets, when you search the area, you’ll find two corpses. One of them will have a key and the other will have a letter. Looting these items will trigger the quest.

Walkthrough

You won’t need to do much in this quest. You’ll find a locked chest on the cart. The key from the corpses will open it. Inside the chest you’ll find Dried Fruit (x5), a Greater Morana Runestone, a Lesser Glyph of Quen, Linen (x4), and some random objects. Looting the chest will complete the quest.
