You’ll receive this quest from Dannia in Old Moonrise if you decide to trick Alundar at the end of the quest The Blackened Bone Tavern.

Walkthrough

For this quest you’ll need to figure out a way to gain Alundar’s favor without killing the Akadai Kingspawn. You’ll get a hint for this when you travel to the East Mirkland Delta and talk to the kingspawn (#1). He’ll reveal that the Akadai have a crux stone, and that you’re welcome to take it. He’ll then give you an Akadai Gland, which will allow you to enter the Akadai Underworld in Mirkland to the west, where you’ll find the crux stone.

While you’re exploring the Akadai Underworld, you’ll find an Akadai Withered Head in one of the royal graves on the western side (#2). When you pick it up, you’ll speculate that Alundar doesn’t actually know what the kingspawn looks like, and that one head should work just as well as another. For discovering a suitable replacement gift, you’ll complete the quest and earn 2500 xp.
