Borderlands 3: 3rd DLC Revealed and 4th Teased

Borderlands 3’s 3rd paid campaign add on, Bounty of Blood: Fistful of Redemption, was announced yesterday on the Borderlands Show. On the planet Gehenna, in the frontier, players will be pitted against the monster mounted Devil Riders in this western themed DLC.

In the first two paid add-ons, players enjoyed a new setting to blast and loot to their heart’s content. Things will be much the same in Bounty of Blood, however the cast of characters will be all new, including a mysterious unseen narrator. Players will travel to the town of Vestige, on the scorched desert planet of Gehenna, where they will take on an active role in assisting the locals beat back the Devil Riders and bring justice to the world.

Along with a slew of new western themed problem solving firearms, Bounty of Blood will feature a number of new interactive mechanics that can only be found on Gehenna. The coolest and scariest of these is apparently a half animal – half hover bike cyborg called a Jetbeast, which acts as your mount and is probably about as horrifying as it sounds.

In addition to the Blood and Bounty announcement, a new Takedown was also announced, along with a teaser for the 4th paid add-on in the form of a piece of concept art. There’s not much more info on this DLC, but it’s clearly going to feature Krieg in some way.

It will scale to the number of vault hunters in your party, but is meant to be an overwhelming challenge that tests players’ resolve and forces full teams to work together at their very best to succeed. The Takedown will also feature difficult, low-gravity platforming sections and clever puzzles that will challenge the cunning of players, along with their trigger fingers.

All in all, the Borderlands 3 team is delivering solid, entertaining content, and seems to be ready to continue to do so for some time.
